GARDENERS’ WORLD, HORTICULTURAL ASSISTANT PRODUCER

BBC Gardeners’ World, the UK’s best-loved gardening programme, is looking for a Horticultural Assistant Producer. Responsible for providing specialist horticultural support in a fast-paced environment, your diverse, specialist duties will include suggesting editorial, managing materials, ensuring factual accuracy, researching and collating archive material and contributing to and managing social media platforms. Highly organised and creative, the ideal candidate will possess storytelling skills and a gift for generating fresh ideas.

You will have a proven passion for horticulture, with a relevant qualification, at least 3 years working in TV and an excellent knowledge of plants and the gardening calendar. You will need to demonstrate experience of managing high-profile talent, preparing for edits, sourcing plants and props, and setting up VTs. A clean driving licence and confident driving skills are required.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked a series of horticultural and relevant skill based questions in order to ascertain their suitability for the role.

Start Dates: February - October 2026.

Base: Bristol with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
