After Party Studios is looking for an experienced Development Producer to join their brilliant team.
About After Party Studios
After Party Studios (APS) is an award winning, digital first production company based in London.
We make entertainment for the platforms where culture actually lives - from talent led formats and brand integrated series to high production sports content.
Our shows include Don't Get Catfished, Find The… and Hear Me Out for Channel 4.0; Scenes and League of 72 for Sky and Sky Bet; and Ultimate Football Challenge for Red Bull. Most recently, we ran Neymar Jr's YouTube channel as he fought his way back into the Brazil World Cup squad.
We're a fast moving team and we're looking for people who are obsessive about digital, not just comfortable with it.
The Role
This is a mid to senior development role for a producer who loves YouTube and understands how digital formats are built, pitched, and grown into series. You'll lead on developing new formats from scratch, own your own projects from idea to pitch, and help shape APS's development slate across digital and broadcast commissioners.
We're open to someone with a TV background but you need to have made the shift. You need to understand why a title and thumbnail come before everything else, why creator talent relationships work differently to traditional casting, and why a format that runs for four seasons on YouTube is the real ambition.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of new formats from initial concept through to pitch ready deck or treatment, owning your own projects end to end
- Generate original ideas rooted in digital culture, creator talent, and platform behaviour
- Build and write pitch decks, one pagers, and format documents to a high standard
- Pitch directly to commissioners and brands, Channel 4.0, RedBull, Twitch, brand clients and build relationships with key contacts
- Identify and develop talent relationships, understanding what creators bring, who their audiences are, and how to build formats around them
- Work with the Head of Entertainment to shape the development strategy and annual slate
- Supervise and mentor junior development staff
- Stay across the competitive landscape, what commissioners are looking for, what's performing on platform, and where the gaps are
- Support on casting strategy where formats require it
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven track record in TV and digital development, you've developed formats that got commissioned, or you've contributed meaningfully to shows that did
- A genuine love of YouTube. You watch it with the same analytical eye you'd apply to broadcast, you understand the platform's mechanics, and you have strong opinions about what works
- Strong format instincts, you can identify what makes a concept repeatable, scalable, and series worthy
- Excellent writing skills, pitch documents, one pagers, and treatments that are clear, compelling, and structured
- Experience pitching to commissioners or brands and navigating feedback cycles
- Deep knowledge of creator culture, talent ecosystems, and how digital talent relationships work
- The ability to originate ideas independently, not just develop other people's concepts
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Collaborative working style, this is a small team and no one operates in silos
Desirable
- Existing relationships with commissioners, particularly in the digital/youth space
- Experience working with or around creator talent and their management
- Familiarity with Figma or equivalent for building pitch decks
- Brand partnership or branded content experience, understanding how to integrate commercial clients without compromising creative
- Experience developing formats for Twitch, TikTok, or other non YouTube digital platforms
- Knowledge of the sports, music, or fashion entertainment verticals
Who You Are
You've probably come from TV, a development or producing role at an indie or broadcaster and at some point you looked at what was happening on YouTube and thought 'that's where the interesting stuff is.' You didn't just observe it. You started to understand it.
You know how to work in a room with a commissioner and how to work in a room with a creator manager. You know that those two conversations require completely different skills and you're good at both. You have genuine creative ambition, you want to make things that last, not just get things over the line.
You're comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a growing company. You don't need things to be handed to you.
What We Offer
- Ownership of your own development projects from day one
- Access to an established network of creators, commissioners, and brand clients
- A collaborative, creatively ambitious environment
- Based in London (Corsica Street, Islington)
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
How to Apply
Send your CV and a short cover note. In your cover note tell us what's the best performing format on YouTube right now and why. We're not looking for the right answer. We're looking for your answer.
