?? NEW TALENT-LED DOCUMENTARY SERIES FOR A UK BROADCASTER 

ROLE: RESEARCHER 

?? LOCATION: London-based 

?? DATES: 19 October – 27 November 2026 (6 weeks) 

South Shore is looking for a brilliant, resourceful Researcher to join the team on a new talent-led documentary series for a UK broadcaster, aimed at a younger audience. 

We're looking for someone with strong research skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in factual documentary storytelling. 

You'll be supporting the editorial team with research, story development, contributor and location research, and helping prepare for filming. 

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO: 

?? Has previous Researcher credits across factual documentaries or similar programming. 

?? Has excellent research skills and can confidently investigate stories, source information and identify interesting editorial opportunities. 

?? Is comfortable approaching contributors, making calls and building relationships with contacts. 

?? Can support research into international locations, filming opportunities and relevant background information. 

?? Has strong factual storytelling instincts and understands the importance of accuracy and attention to detail. 

?? Is highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple research tasks. 

?? Is a brilliant team player who can work closely with Producers, Directors and the wider production team. 

?? Understands what appeals to a youth-skewing audience and has an interest in contemporary factual documentaries. 

Previous experience working on talent-led documentaries would be a bonus.
